Sports The firm was founded in 2017, and began from humble beginnings. The firm has since seen steady growth; locally, and internationally, gaining a reputation for its technical excellence, solid turnaround times, competitive rates, and strong ethics.
The firm specialises in commercial litigation and dispute resolution, with a strong emphasis on insurance law. The firm has a number of clients in the insurance industry; both in the short-term, and long-term sectors.
The firm also practices media law, and has litigated matters in a number of Courts, as well as in forums such as the Press Council, and the Broadcasting Complaints Commission of South Africa.
The firm also has a growing sports law practice, with Rupert Candy holding a Certificate in Sports Law from the University of Pretoria (with distinction). The firm acts for, amongst others, a leading PSL football club, leading motorsport personnel and a related association, as well as for other sportpersons and bodies.
The firm also does more than it’s fair share of pro-bono work, being primarily constitutional and human rights law. In this regard, the firm has been at the forefront of some of the leading cases to come before our courts, in recent years.
The firm has been honoured to be a winner, and a finalist, at the African Legal Awards.
